Tooling Around

This  week we are reading   Tooling Around by Ellen Jackson, which was selected as an Outstanding Science Trade Book, 2015. We learned about different kinds of animals who use tools.  We discussed what a tool was and then read the author’s definition which was an object used to achieve a goal.

This is a Nonfiction Book, so the Call # is  a number (unlike fiction books which we learned last week start with letters,  E = Easy/Picture Books or F = Fiction/Chapter Books).  Students will then do a  Catalog Search by Subject  to find the call # of a topic and fill out a CAT slip with the Call#, Author and Title.
