This past week we read the book Henry’s Map by David Elliot. Henry organizes the farm by drawing a map to show where the animals should be.
After reading the story, we talked about how the library is organized and how call numbers (letters) tell us where the books should be. To help students identify what a call number is, they filled out a slip with the call number of the book they checked out this week as well as the author and the title.
