Point of View – Rain

We read Rain by Linda Ashman, illustrated by Christian Robinson, who won the Ezra Jack Keats Award for New Illustrator with this book.  He also did the illustrations for Gaston which we read earlier, as well as the book, Josephine, which won the Coretta Scott King illustrator award  and the Sibert Informational book award. This story shows us two different points of view or opinions regarding rain.  The older man is grumpy about the rain, while the little boy loves the rain and pretends to be a frog.  The fun begins when the two meet face to face.
