Library Catalog – Title Search

Our story  that we  read this past week was Cold Snap (the perfect book for the cold weather we’ve been having) .

by Eileen Spinelli, illustrated by Marjorie Priceman

After reading the story, I showed the students how to search the library catalog by Title, to learn where to find the book in our library.  In red letters are the Call Letters or Numbers, which tell us the section or type of book (E=Easy, ER=Easy Reader, F=Fiction, Number= Nonfiction) and authors last name. I passed out bookmarks with the call letter abbreviations.

Extension Ideas – Check out what others have to say about this book and take a look at some of the artwork from the book on my book resource page: Cold Snap.
